Luis Alberto Everton may become the next Allan to Everton for the Italian media.

Multiple claims are now being made each day about the Lazio player’s future, and Carlo Ancelotti’s side are named in most of them.

To recap, the Toffees have been linked to the former Liverpool midfielder since the start of this year. Those claims have been brought back into focus because of a current argument ongoing between the player and his club.

Luis Alberto lost his temper last week and went public with his annoyance over Lazio buying a new luxury club plane, whilst also expecting players to take salary drops due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

This angered those in charge and there’s been talk of a huge fine. Manager Simone Inzaghi is keen to put the situation behind him, but those above him are infuriated that the player won’t apologise.

A transfer is considered possible, report Gazzetta dello Sport, and this would be a ‘defeat’ for Lazio from a sporting perspective and perhaps a financial one too.

The Italian newspaper say Everton are one of the clubs ‘ready to present’ a ‘suitable offer’ for the Spaniard, although there’s a question over buying clubs going in too low… knowing the drama unfolding at Lazio.
