According to a claim in the Italian media, Everton are ready to close a deal to sign AC Milan midfielder Andrea Bertolacci.
TMW report Everton are accelerating towards signing Bertolacci as Marco Silva looks to bring in reinforcements during this transfer window. It’s claimed contact was made yesterday by Everton as they look to push through an agreement for the AC Milan player.
It’s been reported by the Italian football outlet that Everton have offered the 27 year old a five year contract and an annual salary of €2m plus bonuses.
The Premier League club are looking to pay AC Milan in the region of €6m.
Bertolacci came through the AS Roma youth system but didn’t make any Serie A appearances for the club. The player signed for AC Milan in 2015, but last season was loaned out to his former club Genoa, playing 33 league games.
The former Italy international is contracted to AC Milan until June 2019.
