By all accounts, Ademola Lookman will be an RB Leipzig player sooner rather than later with the youngster seemingly nearing a move.
Bild reported earlier today that there had been a breakthrough in negotiations, with Leipzig paying Everton €18m and €2m in addons.
Lookman is already in Germany, the newspaper having photographed him landing at the airport, his medical is this afternoon and the announcement is coming at 9am tomorrow.
That price seemed a little low given reports throughout the summer suggested Everton wanted much more. In fact, Bild even stated that they’d been holding out for €30m for their man.
Kicker cover the impending transfer and they have a different price for the transfer. They report that Lookman will cost Leipzig €20m, with €5m more if the bonuses are activated.
That seems a more realistic fee than previously stated and certainly, less of a comedown from the €30m Everton wanted.
Not only does it represent a big price for a player who only made 48 appearances for the Toffees but the add-on sets them up for a nice windfall if this move proves a successful one for him.
