According to Haber Global’s Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, Everton will allow Morgan Schneiderlin to sign for Fenerbahce once they bring in a replacement for Idrissa Gueye.
This week it was confirmed Gueye has joined French champions PSG, and Everton could look to replace him with Mainz defensive midfielder Jean Philippe Gbamin. There have been claims from Germany today that Everton are closing in on a deal for the Mainz player.
Chelsea’s Tiemoué Bakayoko has also been linked with a move to Goodison Park.
According to Sabuncuoglu, the Premier League side are waiting to confirm the arrival of a midfielder and then Schneiderlin will be given permission to head to the Turkish Super Lig.
He also claims Fener will cover all of the Everton player’s wages during the season long loan, but they will not pay a fee to the Toffees.
The French midfielder looks surplus to requirements under Marco Silva and is expected to leave the Merseyside club before the transfer window closes next month.
Schneiderlin is under contract with Everton until June 2021 and he’s also been linked with a move to Fenerbahce’s local rivals Galatasaray in the past week.
