Everton striker Cenk Tosun has taken part in a Q&A session on social media and given an update on his injury.
The Turkish striker joined Crystal Palace on a loan deal in January but after making just five appearances for the south London side he suffered a knee injury in training, which ruled him out for the season.
Following his injury, Tosun’s loan spell with the Eagles was cut short and he returned to Everton for treatment. The injury would have ruled him out of Euro 2020.
As covered by Sporx, the Everton player confirmed he’s doing well in his recovery but still expects to be on the sidelines for the foreseeable future: “I am getting better and better. A month ago, I underwent surgery and now I’m feeling fine. It looks like the whole situation will likely continue for around six to seven months. I’m still on crutches but I am making progress every single day.”
Tosun also said that his Everton teammates Richarlison and Bernard are two of the best players he’s ever played with: “The best footballer I ever played with, I can say Bernard and Richarlison while playing in Everton. They are very talented and good players.”
The 28 year old also stated that he’s at home with his family for four weeks and is doing everything he can to improve himself during this situation.
