James Rodriguez has been left unimpressed by Everton this summer and is looking for a way out of the club.
That’s according to MARCA’s Colombian edition, who say the arrival of Rafa Benitez and other issues at Goodison have encouraged the Colombian to look elsewhere.
They explain that within minutes of Benitez’s appointment Rodriguez was trending on social media, and that is because the Spaniard’s arrival was like a ‘bucket of cold water’ for the midfielder.
His appointment ‘immediately’ forced Rodriguez away from the club as it is ‘no mystery’ the relationship between the pair is ‘not a rosy one’.
That dates back to their shared experience at Real Madrid, where the pair had a public falling out, and despite the years having passed, the manager and player are yet to ‘heal their old wounds’.
As a result, ‘everything indicates’ Rodriguez will look for a way out of Everton this summer before ‘living the nightmare’ of Real Madrid under Benitez once again.
Beyond that, he has been left unimpressed with the ‘moves’ that Everton’s directors are making off the pitch.
The unexpected departure of Carlo Ancelotti coupled with ‘the lack of interest’ in signing ‘extraordinary players’ has Rodriguez thinking that this year will not be a ‘dream season’ for him.
He, therefore, wants out, and that’s where rumours in Italy have surfaced from, with it believed there that a move to AC Milan is close to being completed.
