Everton are keen on signing Marseille’s Iliman Ndiaye in the summer window and this has been discussed in the French media over the past few days.
Last Thursday, Foot Mercato said the Toffees made an offer to the Ligue 1 side because they are ‘completely crazy’ about the 24-year-old. A day later, L’Equipe stated Marseille were shaken by the Merseyside club’s approach.
A fresh report from L’Equipe provides positive updates for Everton and their supporters.
It’s claimed the Senegal international, who is preparing to leave Roberto De Zerbi’s side, is now discussing personal terms with the Toffees.
Marseille invested €20m to buy the player from Sheffield United last summer and they don’t want make a loss through his sale this summer.
L’Equipe say Marseille are ‘approaching an agreement’ with Sean Dyche’s side for a deal worth around €18.5m plus bonuses. They will also be entitled to receive a percentage of any profit from a future sale.
Ndiaye’s move to Everton is expected to go through as all parties are working to get this deal over the line.
