Italian newspaper Tuttosport makes a big deal out of Juventus’ visit to the Estádio do Dragão at the weekend.
As the Old Lady went to watch Porto playing Benfica in the Portuguese league, the newspaper points out a couple of targets who the Serie A side could be watching, and highlights the great performance of João Félix.
The 19-year-old, who has been having an impressive season for the Eagles, was once again decisive scoring one of the goals in Benfica’s 2-1 comeback.
Tuttosport also lists the other clubs who have made the trip to the north of Portugal, and Everton are one of them.
Since Marco Silva’s arrival, the Toffees have been following several matches from the Portuguese league, especially those with Benfica involved.
Tuttosport doesn’t seem to have an idea of who Everton were watching, but when listing all the clubs who had emissaries at the match, they say they could all offer some competition for Félix.
The 19-year-old is currently protected by a €120m release clause, and the word in Portugal is that he’s not leaving for less than that. So if Everton were impressed with his performance, they better be prepared for the big battle there will be in the summer.
