Rony Lopes joined Manchester City in 2013 from Benfica and impressed fans who watched the club’s youth sides.
He struggled to breakthrough to the first team and in 2015 left for AS Monaco for around €10m. Since then the 23 year old has repeatedly spoken of a desire to return to English football one day and genuinely show what he can do at a senior level.
The ideal scenario would be a Manchester City return, however, that doesn’t rule out the prospect of joining another Premier League club.
Wednesday’s edition of L’Equipe reports Everton, Newcastle United and West Ham are all ‘courting’ the Monaco player.
It’s not just the English trio interested in the former City man, with the French newspaper covering interest from Valencia, AS Roma and Sevilla.
It’s thought the attacking midfielder would bring Monaco around €25m this summer.
Sevilla are said to be ahead of the pack, so that, as well as the impending deadline, gives Everton, Newcastle and West Ham a reason to hurry.
