Juventus are ready to welcome Moise Kean back from Everton ‘with open arms’, but the player is happy to remain in Paris with PSG.
That’s what Il BiancoNero report today, saying Juve are looking at making another attempt to bring Kean back to the club after considering him as an option in the summer transfer window.
The Italian striker is currently on loan with Thomas Tuchel’s side, having been shipped out by Everton at the end of the transfer window after a disastrous first year on Merseyside.
He has proven to be a revelation across the Channel, establishing himself as first-choice alongside Kylian Mbappe and Neymar and impressing in both Ligue 1 and the Champions League.
That loan does not include a purchase option at the end of it, a decision which looks a smarter one by the day as far as Everton are concerned, though, and so he will be heading back to Goodison Park at the end of the season.
Whether that is permanently or not remains to be seen, but it seems Juventus are again willing to test Everton’s resolve over the young striker.
Il BiancoNero report that they had ‘already thought’ about signing Kean as their fourth striker in the summer and ‘could make an attempt’ in the coming months
What that attempt would entail isn’t mentioned, but it seems they would face a fight to convince Kean, who is ‘very happy’ in Paris and wants to stay there beyond the end of his current loan deal.
Everton’s stance doesn’t get a mention either, but in truth, this is all setting up perfectly for them ahead of next summer.
Ideally, they’d get Kean back in top form and keep him around, but if he pushes for a move and they concede defeat on that front, it appears they’ll have two European giants willing to do battle to take the striker off their hands.
