Besiktas have started negotiations with Everton over a loan deal for Cenk Tosun in the January transfer window.
That’s according to Sabah, who say the Turkish side already have an agreement in place with the striker regarding his contract.
They explain that Tosun’s lack of minutes for Everton this season have convinced him his future lies elsewhere, and he would like to return to Turkey for a third time.
He’s already held talks with his former club and ‘reached an agreement’ with them over the terms of a contract.
Besiktas’ plan is to loan Tosun from Everton for six months, at which point his contract at Goodison Park will expire.
At that point, Tosun will sit down with the Super Lig side, and a ‘long-term agreement’ will be made between both parties.
Besiktas now need to find an agreement with Everton, which could prove to be tricky as they don’t want to pay a loan fee in order to keep the costs of a deal low.
They have ‘started negotiations’ with the Toffees to try and find a deal, either way, boosted by the fact Tosun has already agreed on a deal to return.
