Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite is the ‘most logical candidate’ for PSV Eindhoven this summer as they look to bolster their back line.
That’s according to Eindhovens Dagblad, who say a deal with Everton is yet to be finalised for the young centre-back.
They report that the Dutch side are still looking for other alternatives to solve their issues in defence, with injuries to Olivier Boscagli and Andre Ramalho reducing their options.
Branthwaite has been linked in both the Netherlands and England, and ED confirm there is an interest from PSV, who now have Marcel Brands back in charge of transfers.
He’s the man who signed Branthwaite for the Toffees, so he knows the player inside out, and it seems he wants to take him to PSV.
According to ED’s information, it is ‘likely’ he will arrive on loan, although nothing has been finalised with Everton for now.
Despite that, he is the most logical candidate to reinforce the position.
The youngster is currently not with Everton for their training camp in America, but this was due to him being sick rather than anything transfer related.
