Everton have been busy this summer and the final week of the transfer window is shaping up to be a hectic one for them.
The Blues remain on the hunt for a centre back, and right-winger but Marco Silva recently added a central midfielder to the potential incomings as well. It appears that man is Abdoulaye Doucoure.
Earlier this week we reported that the Blues had made an initial £32m bid for the Frenchman and did not intend to stop there.
RMC claim today that has happened and the Blues have seen a €40m bid for the midfielder rejected by the Hornets who are ‘unyielding’ at this moment in time.
Silva is determined to add Doucoure to his squad, and the suggestion is that this bid will not be the last as far as the Toffees are concerned.
With Watford seemingly unwilling to sell, and the relationship between the two clubs frosty at best, Everton may need to increase their offer significantly if this is a deal they want to get done before deadline day.
