Everton took Robin Olsen on a loan deal from AS Roma to provide competition to Jordan Pickford this season.

The Swede has made 11 appearances in all competitions, out of which seven were in the league.

Olsen’s stay at Goodison Park beyond this campaign remains uncertain even though Carlo Ancelotti wants to retain the 31-year-old.

The situation has forced the Toffees to look for a new custodian in the transfer market, and if reports coming out of Italy are to be believed, Juventus’ Wojciech Szczęsny has been identified as a target.

That’s according to Tutto Juve , who say the Merseyside club could ‘make a proposal’ for the Poland international.

It’s stated Carlo Ancelotti’s side are ready to meet the former Arsenal man’s salary, but there’s no mention of details of his current wages.

However, the report also adds the Premier League side ‘would not offer’ more than €10m to the Old Lady to sign the keeper.

Szczęsny has a contract until 2024 and it’s not clear whether or not Juventus would be in favour of allowing him to leave for a fee as little as €10m.
