Everton have made ‘polls’ for Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey but are yet to offer anything ‘concrete’ to the Welshman.
That’s according to Italian journalist Niccolò Ceccarini, who says that Juventus have definitely decided to get rid in the January transfer window.
Ramsey is currently out of favour at Juventus, and the Italian side are keen to get rid, particularly as he is currently earning €7m a year in wages.
There’s also been a growing tension between the player and the club, particularly after he recently hinted during the international break that Juventus are to blame for his injury problems.
Ramsey has subsequently been linked with a return to the Premier League, and Everton have been named among his suitors on several occasions.
A report earlier this week indicated that they were ‘ready to welcome’ Ramsey at Goodison Park, while it was even suggested yesterday that he could be made available on a free.
Ceccarini now picks up on that and says the midfielder will definitely be leaving in January if Juventus get their way.
“Ramsey’s departure has already been decided,” he told Tuttomercatoweb.
“The Welshman has a very high salary (around 7 million euros), and this does not help.
“From the Premier League, there have been some polls from Everton and Newcastle. We’ll see if later on, the contacts will be more concrete.”
