Beto has had a mixed time since his move to Everton, and that’s encouraged the odd claim that he could be on the move.

He’s yet to start even once for the Toffees in the Premier League this season, but does have one goal in the Carabao Cup.

Amidst his struggle for prominence, there is now talk of a potential exit in the January window.

Leggo, as relayed by ForzaRoma, have reported that Beto could be a target for AS Roma in January, with the Giallorossi looking to make some ‘repairs’ to the squad soon.

They want a reliable back-up option to Artem Dovbyk and with Everton presented as looking for a buyer for Beto, the Portuguese is a potential option for them.

The feeling is that the striker has found it ‘difficult’ in the Premier League and that is why he could be on his way out. Eldor Shomurodov is likely to depart and the ex-Udinese man can come in as a replacement.

The fact that both clubs have the Friedkins in charge could help a a deal to progress.

Despite all of that, Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s contract at the Toffees runs out in the summer of 2025 and he looks like he’s heading for the exit. So it remains to be seen if Everton would want to part ways with both their strikers in a short space of time.
