The agent of Real Madrid midfielder Isco has insisted his client is not looking to leave the Spanish giants amid persistent rumours about a move to Everton.
Several rumours over the last few weeks have named Goodison Park as a potential destination for the midfielder, who is out of favour under Zinedine Zidane.
A move to Everton has thus been mooted, with it believed the midfielder is keen to replicate the success James Rodriguez has enjoyed since making the move himself in the summer.
Those rumours were dismissed by Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti yesterday, with him telling Direct TV Sports in Colombia that the rumours were b******t.
That sentiment has now been echoed by the player’s representative, who told Cadena Ser that “we are neither studying offers nor is the idea to leave Madrid” when asked about the rumours.
That is as complete a dismissal as he could manage and, coupled with Ancelotti’s comments yesterday and those made during his press conference today, it seems Isco to Everton is not a thing.
Of course, there is plenty of time for that to change in the near future. If Isco remains out of favour in Madrid, speculation about his future is only going to increase.
And given Rodriguez’s success so far, coupled with Isco’s relationship with Ancelotti, it seems inevitable that Everton will continue to be linked regardless of any efforts to dismiss it.
