Everton are ‘testing the waters’ ahead of a potential move for Atalanta goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini this summer.
That’s according to La Lazio Siamo Noi, who say the Blues have ‘immediately set their sights’ on the goalkeeper.
Reports over the last week or so have linked Everton with a move for the Italian goalkeeper, with them needing to add competition to Jordan Pickford to their squad.
Gollini looks likely to be available as Atalanta have brought in goalkeeper Juan Musso, who is set to take the number one spot.
That would leave Gollini looking at an exit in search of regular playing time, and several reports have named Everton among his suitors.
La Lazio Siamo Noi back that up and say that the goalkeeper is ‘on his way out’ of the Serie A side, and his ‘confidence and skill’ have not gone unnoticed by Lazio, Fiorentina and Everton.
Those three have ‘immediately set their sights’ on the goalkeeper, and Everton in particular, are ‘testing the waters’ and ‘hoping’ to bring him back to the Premier League.
At the moment, though, it seems that Fiorentina have the ace up their sleeve to get the Italian as they can include Pol Lirola as part of the deal.
