Dele Alli’s departure from Everton could be announced today, although the midfielder is yet to make a final decision about the move.
That’s according to Milliyet journalist Serdar Sarıdağ, who has provided an update on the rapidly developing transfer.
Dele was first linked with a move to Besiktas yesterday, with several reports in Turkey making it clear that they had made their first move for him.
The potential deal has been developing quickly since last night, with reports making it clear that Everton and Besiktas have struck a loan deal with an option to buy.
That’s been followed by claims Alli will earn €2.25m for the year of the loan deal, while earlier today it was labelled as the deal of the year for the Super Lig side.
Whether it happens depends on whether Dele accepts the move, with it made clear Everton are more than happy to let him go and reports in England stating the decision is very much in his hands.
Sarıdağ backs that up and believes Dele could even make his decision at some point today as the deal is done.
“The deal with Everton is finalised. Dele Alli will make his decision. He has not yet made a clear decision about whether to come to Besiktas or not,” Milliyet report him saying.
“Maybe he will stay at Everton. It is not absolutely certain that Lampard does not want him to stay.
“As in the case of Adem Ljajic, Lens and Douglas, but if the player wants to prove himself again, Besiktas can be a rehabilitation centre for Dele Alli.
“At least he is not a character who can cause unrest in the team. The harm is to himself.
“I don’t think there will be a rental fee. His annual wage will be €2.25m. Pjanic’s transfer was a big deal, but it didn’t happen. This is also true for Galatasaray.
“The mood of the transfer is created on the pitch. It’s the same for Fenerbahce.
“There are many reasons why Everton don’t want Dele Alli. Dele Alli transfer can be announced today and tomorrow and Welinton can also leave.”
