Khouma Babacar looks like he’s really getting close to the Fiorentina exit this time.

For years there have been rumours about a possible move, with a string of Premier League clubs linked, but La Nazione believe the time is finally coming.

The Florence newspaper on Friday report the player’s time with the Viola seems ‘at the end of the line’.

Interest from England is again mentioned, and it’s claimed Everton and Crystal Palace are leading the pack, the only two Premier League clubs mentioned by name.

AS Roma are also credited with having an interest in the 24 year old striker.

La Nazione explain that whilst nobody is saying it openly, and there’s nothing official, word is spreading among those most trusted at Fiorentina that a transfer is happening.

There’s no talk of direct offers from Everton and Crystal Palace yet, and it seems the player’s contract only having 18 months left to run is one of the reasons for a transfer conclusion. Fiorentina want to avoid losing the player for free, especially to another Italian club, so that gives them reason to negotiate.

Crystal Palace have been linked repeatedly over the past week but not so much Everton so it’s perhaps a surprise to see them strongly brought into proceedings.
