Bayern Munich are willing to discuss a deal for Joshua Zirkzee, with Everton trying to sign the young striker.
That’s according to SportBILD, who say the German champions are open to a move despite the club not planning any departures this month.
Zirkzee has been linked with a move to Everton over the last week, with reports, initially in England, stating that they were close to a move.
That has since been scaled back significantly, with it explained from Germany that the two clubs are working on a deal, but a €10m purchase option is tricky for the Blues to agree to.
They explain that Bayern chief Oliver Kahn confirmed at the weekend that the club were expecting to be quiet this month, with no additions or departures planned.
However, they are ‘willing to talk’ about Zirkzee, who has fallen out of favour under Hansi Flick this season after impressing last year.
They say Everton are ‘trying’ to sign the ‘talented striker’ but offer nothing more than that at this moment in time.
The news is positive for the Blues, though. It seems if they can sort out their finances, then a deal for the Dutchman is very much there to be done.
