Napoli midfielder Allan ‘can end up’ at Everton this summer, with the Blues known admirers of the midfielder.
That’s according to Corriere dello Sport, who say it is becoming increasingly likely that the Brazilian will depart the Serie A club.
The 29-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from Naples for some time, having seen his relationship with the club deteriorate over the last year following a failed move to PSG.
He was a rumoured target for Everton in the January window, with barely a day going by in which they weren’t named as suitors because of Carlo Ancelotti.
That has remained the case since then and as far as Corriere are concerned they are a possible destination, as well as former suitors PSG.
They say Allan has a ‘market that remains open’ and the player ‘can end up’ at Everton, with their interest coming courtesy of Ancelotti or PSG, who haven’t disappeared entirely from the picture.
The idea presented is that Napoli are very much preparing for a sale, so much so they’re identifying replacements with Roma’s Jordan Veretout at the top of the list.
The newspaper makes no mention of an asking price, or if Everton have even made a move as yet.
However, this report, coupled with several other reports from Italy recently, indicates a transfer is on the cards, and the Blues are very much in the race.
What his price tag will be remains to be seen, with Aurelio De Laurentiis unlikely to be accommodating in that department if history is anything to go by.
