It seems that after leaving Juventus at the end of the season, left-back Kwadwo Asamoah could end up joining a Premier League side.
It’s Calcio Mercato who reports it this week, saying the player has the possibility of joining Everton or Tottenham Hotspur next summer.
They start with the fact Asamoah’s contract with Juve is expiring in June, and he has already taken the decision not to renew with the club. Only a very big turnaround would change that.
Inter Milan were said to be in pole position to sign him on a free deal, but now the Premier League competition is set to make life hard for the club.
Everton’s interest is considered to be the strongest of the two. The Toffees are said to be ‘moving decisively’, and have been ‘strongly included’ in the race in the past few days. Meanwhile, all Tottenham did was to ask information about the player’s situation.
Just like with every other free agent, it’s the matter of convincing him to join the club. Premier League sides often have advantage over other leagues, so it wouldn’t be a surprise to beat Inter Milan in the race.
Now let’s see if Everton or Spurs will actually make an offer.
