If there’s one Marseille player other than Florian Thauvin who deserves a big move abroad, it’s probably Morgan Sanson.
Never in the headlines for the wrong reasons, the 23-year-old has quietly made a name for himself in Ligue 1 as one of the more consistent midfielders around, and some Premier League clubs have taken notice.
According to France Football, Arsenal, Chelsea and ‘especially Tottenham’ are interested in his services.
The French magazine, who have the article on their website, claim Mauricio Pochettino is ‘very fond’ of what Sanson could bring to his team, which is namely great box-to-box play.
This all rests on whether or not the Argentinian stays at Spurs or not, as the recent trend has been to send him to Real Madrid following Zinedine Zidane’s decision to step down following his third successive Champions League win with the La LIga giants.
This is where Arsenal and Chelsea would come in to still allow him to fulfil his Premier League dream, although it’s worth pointing out Sevilla are also mentioned by France Football to have recently made their interest known.
Of course, there’s also the chance this is all a ploy for Sanson to get a new improved deal at Marseille after two very good years, but that’s just the cynic in us talking.
