Football is back! Sort of.

The weekend saw the return of the Bundesliga behind-closed-doors, and whilst it’s far from the genuine product, it’s still something many have enjoyed watching.

There were several good performances at the weekend, with Borussia Dortmund swatting away Schalke, and Borussia Monchengladbach beating Eintracht Frankfurt 3-1.

Alassane Plea was the star for Gladbach, scoring within the first minute, and it’s these kind of performances which have attracted clubs including Tottenham Hotspur.

Bild reports Manchester United, Arsenal and Leicester City have all been keeping an eye on the player, but they put Spurs apart, saying ‘especially Tottenham’.

The 27 year old has nine goals and seven assists so far this season, and Bild believe that if he continues his form he’ll be moving elsewhere soon.

Gladbach, like all other clubs, have made a big financial loss due to the Covid-19 crisis, with the amount being estimated at €13m. The German newspaper say an offer around €35-40m ‘could hardly be refused’.

Tottenham would likely go in lower.
