AFC Bournemouth want to sign Rayo Vallecano’s Álvaro García, according to Tuesday’s Mundo Deportivo.
Andoni Iraola left the La Liga side for the Cherries last month and the manager now wants to reunite with the forward at the Vitality Stadium. He scored five goals and registered five assists from 35 league games last season.
It’s claimed several teams are waiting for the possibility to sign the 30-year-old, ‘especially Bournemouth’. They are only club mentioned in the report.
Online, Mundo Deportivo, provide more updates and their title states his future ‘could be in England’.
It’s said the attacker has received several offers from abroad and only the Premier League side’s proposal is highlighted. The details aren’t mentioned but both the player and Rayo Vallecano would have to discuss his future.
Mundo explain that Rayo Vallecano aren’t willing to sell him at ‘any price’ as they don’t have an urgent need to raise funds.
García has a contract until 2026 and the report adds it includes a release clause of around €25m.
The Spanish club, as per Mundo, have no intention to sell him for a price far from his clause, meaning Bournemouth need to make an offer close to €25m to sign García.
