The Red Devils were forced to come from behind to get the victory and it sees them having a great chance of making the Europa League final and winning their first trophy under the Norwegian manager.
Cavani’s exploits for the Premier League club have convinced them to keep him beyond this season, but there’s been strong rumours of a move to Boca Juniors.
However, those dreams now look dead, with it being reported on Friday that Cavani has decided to continue at Old Trafford for a further season.
ESPN’s Spanish language edition states Cavani has made a decision over his future, and it’s gone in Manchester United’s favour, with the stay expected to be made official in the coming days.
