It’s no secret Manchester United want to bring back Paul Pogba to Old Trafford this summer.
A lot has been speculated on this particular transfer rumour in the past few days, and things were expected to move quickly after the Euros. According to a latest report from L’Equipe, Manchester United haven’t made an offer to Juventus for Paul Pogba yet.
It is reported Ed Woodward expressed his desire to sign Paul Pogba in a recent meeting with Mino Raiola. However, Woodward wants to first make sure the Frenchman really wants to return to the club.
L’Equipe say Pogba is a ‘priority recruitment’ for Jose Mourinho, and that sources close to the Portuguese manager claim he’s acting like the deal is completed, but that isn’t the case in reality.
Mino Raiola, in an interview recently, claimed Pogba is in no rush to leave Juventus, and the Serie A club want to offer him a contract renewal. L’Equipe, however, say every word Raiola speaks in the media has a meaning, and it’s often the opposite.
Negotiations between Ed Woodward and Mino Raiola are expected to continue, and a first offer could be made to Juventus soon.
Pogba is likely to spend the next few days on holiday, and maybe that is why negotiations are a bit slower than expected.
