Juventus are reportedly expecting more attempts from other clubs to sign their Brazilian left-back Alex Sandro this summer.
As reported by Turin newspaper Tuttosport today, the Old Lady’s intention is to close the doors and not accept any bids for the Chelsea target, but the transfer market won’t leave them in peace.
It’s claimed that offers of €60m and €70m have arrived at Juventus, which the club’s board doubt a little. But the decision not to sell was made once again after they couldn’t find any other player who they feel would be good enough to replace Alex Sandro.
With Manchester City now spending over €55m to sign Benjamin Mendy from Monaco, it looks highly unlikely that they would go for the Brazilian one more time. So it makes it obvious that Chelsea would be alone in the race.
The question now is how far will Antonio Conte’s side go for him, and if it will be enough for Juventus to accept. For now, it’s pretty clear Alex Sandro is not leaving unless something the Italian side can’t refuse comes to the table.
Given that Tuttosport claim Juventus have already knocked back a €70m offer, it may be time for Chelsea to look at other targets.
