AC Milan could turn their attention to Tottenham midfielder Pierre Emile Hojbjerg in the summer as they look for a ‘more experienced profile’ to add to their squad.
That’s according to Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that an €18-20m price tag seems realistic for the midfielder as he looks to get out of Tottenham.
Hojbjerg has been linked with a move away from Spurs for much of this season having barely featured under Ange Postecoglou, who has instead relied on Pape Matar Sarr and Yves Bissouma as his midfield two.
He’s been rewarded for that faith and so Hojbjerg has largely been on the outside looking in, leading to numerous reports that he wants out.
Clubs all over Europe have been named as suitors but Italy appears to be where he has the most admirers, and it seems AC Milan can be added to the list.
Gazzetta explain that they intend to focus on a more experienced type of player this summer to add to a squad full of young talent, and Hojbjerg would certainly fit the bill.
They know that Tottenham can’t demand a big fee for him as his contract expires in a year and that could be used to get a deal done for €18-20m.
Whether that’s an agreeable figure to Milan isn’t mentioned but they definitely like the Tottenham man and he could fit the profile of what they’re looking for nicely.
