With Fenerbahce looking to appoint PSV boss Philipp Cocu as their next manager, the Dutchman will reportedly target Chelsea midfielder Marco van Ginkel.
Cocu and Van Ginkel have worked together at PSV for the past two seasons and the former Netherlands international is looking to make the Chelsea player his first summer signing if he becomes Yellow Caneries’ manager.
Takvim say Fenerbahce are looking to make a loan offer and Cocu is hoping to convince the player to move to Istanbul.
Van Ginkel was highly influential during PSV’s league title win last season, with the Dutchman scoring 14 goals in 28 appearances.
The 25 year old joined Chelsea in 2013 and has a contract until 2020, but hasn’t featured much for the Premier League club since arriving from Vitesse.
Van Ginkel has suffered with knee problems in recent years, which affected his chances at Stamford Bridge, but he’s worked hard and did so well for PSV he ended up captain.
