Chelsea have been named as one of the contenders to sign Victor Osimhen ever since he revealed his desire to leave Napoli in the summer.

Italian journalist Rudy Galetti took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to provide the latest on the 25-year-old.

He claims the striker is the ‘top target’ for Chelsea and that they are ‘ready to speed things up’ to sign him after this season.

Paris Saint-Germain are also named as an interested party but Galetti claims they have other priorities, like AC Milan star Rafael Leão.

The Blues have an advantage over the Ligue 1 side because Osimhen would prefer to make a switch to the Premier League after this season.

Meanwhile, Calciomercato.it say PSG won’t have any problems meeting Osimhen’s asking price of €120-130m. They will face tough competition from England, and it’s again stated Chelsea are one of the clubs chasing him.

For Mauricio Pochettino’s side, the Nigeria international is a ‘dream’ target. They are 10th in the table and 14 points behind fourth placed Aston Villa. It needs to be seen if he’s willing to join Chelsea without European football.

Osimhen has scored eight goals and registered three assists from 18 games this season.
