Everton’s potential new link with AS Roma thanks to Dan Friedkin has already got the Italian club eyeing up deals between the two clubs.
That’s according to Corriere della Sera, who report that the ‘synergy’ between the two sides already has Roma planning for how they can help their own books.
Friedkin has entered into an exclusivity period to buy Everton from Farhad Moshiri this week after reaching an agreement with the Iranian over the weekend.
That deal is now in the due dilligence stages and is expected to be completed in a matter of weeks, adding Everton to Friedkin’s network that is currently headed up by Roma and also includes Cannes in France.
Transfer rumours between the two clubs have already started to sprout up and Corriere della Sera say deals could happen ‘in a very short time’.
They cite how reports in England have already linked Tammy Abraham and Edoardo Bove with moves to Goodison Park and add that these two players are ‘fascinated’ by the idea of a move to the Premier League.
Roma would be more than open to that as the ‘treasure’ they’d secure from such transfers would help them to balance the books and give them more money to spend on the transfer market this summer.
There’s certainly excitement about the whole process and the advantages the new ‘synergy’ between the two sides could bring, starting with deals for Bove and Abraham.
