Wolverhampton Wanderers star Raúl Jiménez first arrived in Europe when Atlético Madrid signed him in 2014.
The Mexico international struggled with the La Liga club and also failed to really impress during his time with Benfica.
This allowed Wolves to initially sign him on loan from the Portuguese club in 2018 and his transfer was made permanent last April.
Jiménez has 26 goals and 13 assists in the league since the start of the 2018/19 season. His fine performances for Nuno Espírito Santo’s side have seen him being linked with top clubs in England and across Europe.
Speaking to ESPN Mexico, he said: “I find out through social media; They already linked me to Real Madrid, Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal and every day a new team comes out that loves me, you have to be calm.
“If it is talked about, it’s because I am doing things well. I would like to continue in England, I am happy, I’ve adapted and I like the idea.”
The 28-year-old has a contract at Molineux until 2023 and even though he has expressed his desire to continue at Wolves, the frontman is ready to make an exception if either of Real Madrid or Barcelona come calling.
“If you tell me that an offer from Real Madrid or Barcelona arrives tomorrow, it is obvious that you don’t miss such an opportunity,” Jiménez explained.
“However, if I stay here, I am fighting to qualify for the Champions League, important things. Fighting for the title still seems difficult, but we are in the round of 16 in Europe. I think that by coming here, I made a correct decision and I think I do not regret it.”
The player also stressed his mentality doesn’t allow him to close doors on any potential opportunities.
“Having the doors open for everything is the most important thing. With Wolves, we are fighting for a place in the Champions League,” the Wolves striker stressed.
“I am happy and I am an important player for the people and the team, I am fine. I do not close any door, I am open to what comes my way, but I don’t lose sleep.”
