On Friday, En Cancha reported Wolverhampton Wanderers have ‘come with everything’ to secure Darío Osorio’s services as Bruno Lage’s side are ‘serious’ about the Universidad de Chile star.
It was also explained Wolves have sent an intermediary to Chile to negotiate directly with the South American club over a deal for the 18-year-old.
Universidad de Chile will take on Universidad Católica later today. Another report from En Cancha states the winger is not expected to start the tie due to technical reasons.
Amid interest from the Premier League side, Universidad de Chile manager Diego López has ruled out the possibility of the player leaving the club.
“He will continue with us, we have discussed that with the president. We will continue to enhance him,” López said, as quoted by AS Chile.
“He and (Lucas) Assadi, as long as we have them, we have to make them grow, they are our players. It is normal that they look for them. They are focused, they know they have to grow and enjoying being on the pitch, there is no need to deal with these issues with them.”
This may end Wolves’ chances of signing Osorio before the window closes, despite them sending an intermediary to Chile to carry out the potential deal.
