Four days ago, Calciomercato reported Everton are ‘very interested’ in Merih Demiral and are ‘watching’ the Turkey international at Euro 2020.
Tottenham Hotspur also have the Juventus player on their transfer agenda for this summer.
Last weekend, the north London club appointed Fabio Paratici as their new managing director of football. The Italian’s arrival can favour Spurs in their efforts to sign the 23-year-old.
Paratici signed the defender for the Turin club from Sassuolo in 2019, but he has been restricted to only 15 league starts in the last two seasons.
According to Tuttosport, the new Tottenham chief is an admirer of Demiral and the player ‘could follow his discoverer [Paratici]’ to the English capital.
Everton get a mention as the Toffees and Atalanta are also ‘active’ in the chase for the Juve player. However, the centre-back could ‘follow’ his former chief to Tottenham.
Paratici’s presence would give his new club a huge advantage over other suitors interested in Demiral.
He has three more years left on his contract, and Tuttosport doesn’t mention the fee needed to convince Juve to sanction the defender’s sale.
