Last week, Manchester United were said to have reached an agreement for the transfer of Umaro Embalo from Benfica.
Newspaper Record reported the transfer, without claiming how much would José Mourinho’s side pay for the youngster, but assuring that Old Trafford would be his next destination.
However, not all the media is believing it so far. And a proof of that is how they have been taking one of Bild’s reports from the weekend.
The German outlet claimed that RB Leipzig are offering €14m for the youngster, despite the competition from Manchester United and Real Madrid.
Portuguese newspaper O Jogo are covering it this Tuesday, without giving Record’s Manchester United story much importance, and mentioning that the Benfica president Luis Filipe Vieira has recently claimed that the player is not for sale. A Bola does the same on their website.
Record, on the other hand, wrote an article about the Leizpzig offer on their website as well, but insisted that the Manchester United transfer is on.
Who to believe in now? Better wait and see as always. But it’s safe to say that Bild has a better reputation than Record.
