Manchester United star Anthony Martial has struggled to get regular playing time under Jose Mourinho, and there have been rumours of him leaving on loan in January.
The 21-year-old has been linked with a loan move to Sevilla, and Spanish newspaper AS have reiterated those claims on Friday.
AS say Sevilla boss Jorge Sampaoli has asked his director of football, Monchi, to look for a quality striker in January, and Martial is believed to be on top of the list.
However, AS say Manchester United won’t make it easy for Sevilla to sign Martial on loan, and that has put immediate doubts over the possibility of any deal.
Martial has been often left on the bench this season by Jose Mourinho, but it’s unlikely he’d be allowed to leave on loan.
The Frenchman certainly won’t be too happy with the way things are going at the moment, but he is likely to get plenty of playing time between now and end of the season to turn things around.
The Sevilla rumours started in France, which would suggest they’ve come from the player’s side.
