Manchester City’s Yan Couto has been on loan at Girona since the start of last season.
Operating mainly as a right-back and at times as a wing-back, he has scored a goal and registered three assists from 13 games this season. His performances have not gone unnoticed and caught AC Milan’s attention.
That’s according to Calciomercato, who state the Serie A side have their eyes set on the Manchester City owned player for next summer.
It’s claimed Milan technical director Geoffrey Moncada is ‘crazy’ about the 21-year-old and has ‘total appreciation’ for the Brazilian.
Couto’s performances for the La Liga side have helped him make debut for Brazil during last month’s international break. The Rossoneri are aware a potential deal won’t be simple because the full-back is ‘controlled’ by Manchester City.
In fact, the report says Pep Guardiola’s side could even make him the ‘heir’ to Kyle Walker at the Etihad. That may be a possibility if the South American continues to shine at Girona this season.
Manchester City signed Couto from Brazilian side Coritiba in 2020, but he hasn’t yet made an appearance for them.
