According to a claim in the French media, PSG are to revive their interest in Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho.
The French league leaders have been linked with the Brazil international in the past, but they’ll expect a fight with Barcelona to land the player.
Le10 Sport have today reported the Liverpool attacker is back on the radar of PSG, as uncertainty continues over his future at Anfield.
In the last window the Ligue 1 side managed to convince Neymar to leave Barcelona for the French capital, and they’re hoping they can persuade Coutinho to join his compatriot at the Parc des Princes.
However, it’s claimed Barcelona will make the first move for Coutinho, as they look to get a deal done for the Liverpool star in the January window. The Spanish giants tried to sign the 25 year old in the last window, but the Premier League side were not willing to sell.
If PSG come in for Coutinho it will be at the end of the season, and the club’s sporting director Antero Henrique has resumed contact with the player’s agent.
The idea from PSG seems to be more of a long game, and perhaps counting on Liverpool getting so fed up they’d rather to sell to anyone but Barcelona.
