According to Turkish newspaper Fotomac, Fenerbahce are still working hard to get a deal done for Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil, despite the 31 year old recently stating he wants to remain with the Premier League side.
It’s claimed Fenerbahce sporting director Damien Comolli is in constant talks with Arsenal to sign Ozil on a loan deal in January and they are hopeful of reaching an agreement with the Gunners over financial terms.
Fotomac say if Fenerbahce manage to convince Arsenal to accept their terms, then the former Germany international will join the Yellow Canaries in the winter market.
Fener are hoping to loan him for six months, although previous claims in Turkey said they want an 18-month agreement.
Ozil has only played 71 minutes of Premier League football this season and it seems Unai Emery isn’t keen to use him as he hasn’t been part of Arsenal’s match-day squad for the past four games.
His contract with the North London side will expire at the end of June 2021.
