Hammarby IF’s Mohanad Jeahze has reportedly ended up on Celtic’s transfer agenda for the upcoming window.
On April 27th, we covered claims made by Expressen that Ange Postecoglou’s side ‘may be prepared to pay’ less than €2m for the left-back.
The same report had also made clear that Celtic have so far not made a ‘concrete bid’ to sign the 25-year-old.
He has made 14 appearances in all competitions this season, managing a goal and five assists in the process. Jeahze’s latest outing came in his side’s goalless draw against Malmö FF on Monday.
According to SportExpressen, relayed by Fotboll Direkt, Celtic had their scouts in the attendance at Tele2 Arena to watch the fullback in action for Hammarby earlier this week.
With the reports of the Hoops keeping tabs on the player and the Scottish club’s officials watching Jeahze live in action, Hammarby sporting director Jesper Jansson was asked about the recent Celtic links.
“Nothing new. I know nothing more than what is written in the media. There is certainly an interest, but I have not heard anything,” Jansoon said.
