Tuttosport don’t need an excuse to link Juventus with half the Manchester United team so when given the opportunity of two Champions League matches between the clubs they went into overdrive and pushed out countless rumours.
Chief among them, and the one which will almost certainly continue, is of course Paul Pogba.
The World Cup winner received a good reception from Juve fans in Turin on Wednesday evening, and Tuttosport report it was a ‘stadium of affection’ to convince the player over a return.
Adding more detail, they claim dialogue has been going on ‘closely’ for the potential transfer, between Mino Raiola and Juve. Medhi Benatia is brought into the situation, once again, and Tuttosport also suggest Manchester United could do something about interest in him soon.
According to the claims, an attempt at Pogba would be made as soon as January but it’s thought that could only be successful if those at Old Trafford get fed up enough of the Frenchman, which seems unlikely.
Should the Serie A side be unsuccessful it’s stated they’ll wait for the summer and return. There’s some confidence, or maybe cockiness, in the reporting.
With Benatia, his recent comments about wanting more game time have encouraged transfer rumours.
Tuttosport already reported earlier this week that Manchester United’s search for an experienced central defender could lead them to the 31 year old.
The same newspaper reported Jose Mourinho’s side ‘really need’ the player and are ‘lurking’ for his signing.
