Despite an initial reluctance and his teammate stating it wouldn’t happen, Sebastien Haller to West Ham could very well and truly be on the cards.
According to an update on L’Equipe on Friday from the very reliable Hugo Delom, Willie McKay has managed to turn the tide somehow.
The French newspaper claim that Haller’s position on a transfer to West Ham, which wasn’t great at first, has ‘evolved’ and with both sides agreeing a fee estimated to be around €40m, a deal can now be done.
As things stand, contract talks have started and will continue over the course of the afternoon, which shows how advanced the deal is.
In fact, Eintracht Frankfurt have already ‘activated their network’ to find themselves a new number nine, which suggests this could be done sooner rather than later.
There is no indication as to what has helped change Haller’s mind, especially since he was prioritising a move to a Champions League club.
We’re guessing money really does talk a good game?
