Feyenoord youngster Ozancan Kokcu has agreed to join Turkish side Bursaspor despite interest from clubs in England, Holland and Germany.
The 18-year-old was linked with a move to the Premier League with Everton and Tottenham Hotspur both claimed to be showing a strong interest in the attacking midfielder.
Fcupdate have reported Kokcu has taken the decision to sign for Bursaspor, and will join up with his new cub in the summer. The Azerbaijani youth international said he was happy to sign for such a big club, and hopes to remain with the Turkish side for many years.
Last month we covered the claims, as the player’s agent Muzzi Ozcan said the 18-year-old had received ‘serious offers’ from England, Holland and Germany, with Tottenham and Everton leading the race.
Ozcan claimed Everton and Tottenham were tracking his client, and were possibilities as a contract extension with Feyenoord was breaking down. At the time it was reported Tottenham were showing more interest than Everton, and that Mauricio Pochettino was pushing for a deal.
It seemed to be the agent pushing the interest himself, and maybe all the Everton and Tottenham reports helped bring Bursaspor to the table.
