Before signing Florin Andone from Brighton & Hove Albion, Haberturk claim Galatasaray were in talks with Everton and Cenk Tosun.
It’s reported Galatasaray had reached an agreement with Everton for the 28 year old and on deadline day they presented their offer to the player.
Tosun then rejected the chance to sign for the Turkish champions because if he returns to the Super Lig it would only be with his former club Besiktas.
Once Galatasaray were informed about the Everton player’s decision, they finalised a deal for Brighton’s Andone on a season long loan.
This summer Tosun has been strongly linked with a return to the Super Lig, where he spent six and a half years playing for Gaziantepspor and Besiktas.
However, despite his lack of playing time this year for the Premier League club, he opted to stay at Everton and fight for his place.
This season Tosun he’s made just one substitute appearance, which came in the EFL Cup against Lincoln City.
