Joao Felix left Chelsea on transfer deadline day and joined AC Milan on a loan deal.

The Portugal international hadn’t made much of an impact at Stamford Bridge in the past six months but he scored on his debut for Milan, finding the back of the net against AS Roma in the Coppa Italia quarter-final yesterday.

There seems to be a buzz around the forward in Italy and Milan technical director Geoffrey Moncada was asked about the possibility of the Rossoneri signing Felix permanently in the summer.

He said, as relayed by Sportmediaset: “For the Portuguese it depends on us and on him, if he feels well there is always the possibility. We will see it with Chelsea in the summer.”

It was certainly an odd deal for Chelsea, considering how they signed the 25-year-old for a fee of £45m and he was secured to a seven-year-long deal.

Milan currently don’t have an option or obligation to buy Felix permanently but as Moncada mentions, a lot of it depends on how he performs for the Italian giants.

If he makes a mark under Sergio Conceicao, there is a chance that both Chelsea and Milan meet for further negotiations.
