Following the appointment of Dean Smith as the new Aston Villa manager, Brentford have been looking around for a replacement, with Thomas Frank stepping in as caretaker for the time being.
Well, if BT in Denmark are to be believed, he’s impressed enough to get the job permanently, and is set to be announced as the Bees’ new permanent head coach on Tuesday.
The Danish outlet state they have tried to contact the assistant manager about his new appointment, but have been unable to do so as Brentford have blocked all interviews with staff until the new manager has been announced.
However, their sources tell them the 45-year-old is set to continue the good work Dean Smith has done so far this season, with the club currently seventh in the Championship, and their striker Neal Maupay currently top of the league’s goalscoring charts with 10 goals in 10 games so far.
Dean Smith had previously been in charge since 2015, finishing 9th, 10th and 9th in his three full seasons in charge.
