Udinese defender Molla Wague is on the verge of leaving the Serie A club, according to claims in the Italian media.
The Mali international has been linked with a move to the Premier League in this window, and it’s been claimed the player will now either sign for Leicester City or Sunderland.
TMW have today revealed Udinese will allow Wague to leave in this transfer window, although his club teammate Thomas Heurtaux has been told he must remain at the club.
It’s been reported Leicester City and Sunderland are closing in on Wague following his impressive form for Udinese this season. The 25-year-old has been one of Udinese’s standout players in this campaign during a steady season for the Italian club.
Both Claudio Ranieri and David Moyes could look to bolster their defence before tomorrow’s deadline, and it seems the two clubs will now fight it out for Wague.
Wague came through the Caen youth system before going on to make nearly 50 league appearances for the French side. The central defender signed for Granada in 2014, but was immediately loaned out to Udinese, where he’s been ever since. Wague has racked up over 20 caps for Mali since making his debut in 2013.
