Hull City and West Ham United are both said to be alive in the race for the Inter Milan defender Andrea Ranocchia.

According to Tutto Mercato Web, it’s possible that the player could still leave the Italian side in January as many clubs could try and agree a move before the window shuts.

Although Zenit Saint Petersburg and Bologna seem to have stayed behind in the race, other destinations such as Sassuolo are still a possibility.

It’s always a bit hard to believe rumours when Ranocchia is involved, as the player has been linked to many moves in the recent past.

Only in the Premier League, Watford, Swansea City, Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur were all linked to him this month, and his future seems to lie away from Inter MIlan.

Ranocchia spent the last season on loan at Sampdoria. And although he was only used by the club nine times this season, his contract running until 2019 should be a sign that Inter won’t let him go for free.

Hull City and West Ham would have a reasonable chance of a deal, but Slaven Bilic’s men would have the advantage. Being higher in the table and more likely to be a Premier League club next season, West Ham are a more attractive proposition.
